Been looking through here and cannot seem to find the answer, so maybe this question has not been asked.

I have a couple of databases that are 2003 and one that is 2007. Currently one of the 2003 dbs has a couple of the tables, from the 2007 db, linked. However when I try to do the same with the other 2003 db it tells me that versions are not compatible and I need to upgrade to 2007.

Since that is not going to happen any time soon (if I have any say in the matter :) ), how do I link to the 2007 db?

I have found in the 2007 db where you can save to a version compatible with 2003 however I'm not sure I am allowed to go that route and change where the other program looks for it's db.

Is it likely that the 2003 db with the linked table was modified in 2007 and then saved as an 03 compatible?

I figured it out.

I went to the computer that has 2007 and opened the 03 db. It did not ask me to convert it as I was expecting. So I just linked the tables I needed using 2007 and saved it. It remained a 2003 db and I have the tables linked.
