Hi,
I'm just learning to use MS Project and would like to know how to make a preceding linked task stop the same day the next task starts. I often find my linked tasks having a delay between when one stops and the other begins and this is my latest stumbling block. I've used "start as late as possible" to stop this from happening but there are other problems associated with choosing this.
This is important because many of my processes consist of two tasks, one being a setup that is performed by employees that work 8 hours a day while the other is use of equipment that is available 24 hours a day. Using a 24hr base calendar, fixed units, and effort-driven tasks I was able to get the results I was looking for but a delay between a task setup and the equipment running a task is not ideal.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you,
David.
