In teh Access database i have SQL Server Linked table. I'm trying to edit records directly from the table, but get an error message: "This record has been changed by another user since you started editing it". I know no one beside me is using teh database.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Thank you all in advance :)

Does access recognize the PrimaryKey field ?
Does the SQL server table have a Bit field allowing null ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Hi PHV!
that would be a "yes" to your second question.
As for teh first one: there is NO PK in that SQL Server table. But when i was linking teh table i was prompt to choose the PK, and so i did. thus the linked table in the Access database has a PK.

Access don't like a Bit field allowing null.
The workaround is to create a TimeStamp field in SQL server and to relink the table.

Hope This Helps, PH.

I will.
and thanks for the help. I have changed SQL Server Bit fields to not allow null. Updates through Access performs perfectly.
thanks :)
