I have a form (frmDates) that is linked to an Excel file that is updated every week. Eventually this will be a sub form that will populate three different dates.

However, when I view the form, it is showing "#Num" instead of the MM/DD/YYYY that is on the Excel file. I have doubled checked the Excel file and there are no times or other characters in it.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Cord

You may want to go the excel file and click the column in question then select FORMAT from the drop menu, then select CELLS, then on the General Tab see if DATE or GENERAL format is selected. You should select DATE.

Just a thought...

Lonnie,

Thanks for the response but it turns out that I had a number of blank cells in the Excel file, and I thought I remember reading that Access 2000 "does not like that" when a table is linked to Excel.

I deleted the blank cells and it seems to be working fine now.

Thanks again,
Cord
