Haven't had a need for this since I used Access 97. Am now using Access 2003.

I want to use the Linked Table Manager to refresh all of the tables (about 60 of them) in the backend portion of my project. However, it is prompting me for a location on every table -- I seem to remember being prompted once and it would use that for all selected tables.

Do I have something set up wrong or has the process been changed since I last used it?

This happens when Access finds more than one source for the current links.
You need to visually inspect the connections in the linked table manager and relink in groups of tables from the same source file.

All of my linked tables are in the same db. Since setting it up, I've moved the location of that db. When I try to use the Linked Table Manager to update the links, it prompts me for each table individually. Is there a way to tell it that all of the selected tables are in the one db?

I have had this problem too-I don't know why it should make a difference but I compacted my main db (where all the tables were) and then used the link manager-and it worked! Nonsense I know, but give it a go! Good luck!!! The only other thing I can think of (time consuming though) is to do the links again to the new db location-but I AM A NOVICE SO DON'T LISTEN TO ME!

Remember-most people are given tools to do their jobs-as they themselves have not paid for them or had any input as to their usefullness, the tools they are given will probably be rubbish! That's why they have come here for help!!
