I've been using my Linked Table Manager (on the External Data Tab)to link tables, not the manager is grayed out and won't operate. How do I get this feature back? I'm using Access 2010.
only reason it should be grey if there are no tables linked. If you show linked tables, then delete then. Then use the external data tab to relink them. Now the link manager should show.
This is my problem. I deleted my linked tables because I wanted to relink but the linked tbl manager is now gray. For a test I opened up a brand new database and the linked tbl manager is grayed.
You are a little confused. You only use the manager to manage the links once they are linked. Use the external data tab. Pick access, and choose the link table radio button.
1. From the ext data tab, pick Access and then choose the link table radio button.
2. I am confused. I don't do this often and the procedure just escaped me.
