Hi

We have an office SQL Server 2005 and have just setup a web SQL Server 2005 server with our webhost.

If we setup the remote server as a linked server on our office server is this one way? i.e. does it mean that only the office server can access the linked server, and not the other way round?

I believe this to be the case but just want to check from a security perspective.

Thanks
B

Yes, linked servers are one way.
