In an Access 2000 database, a report (an invoice printout) has the company logo picture on it. I used "Embedded Picture" approach first. But the size of the database became fairely big (increased 1-2 M). So I used "Linked Picture" approach. It worked. However, the picture file has to be loaded from the computer on every invoice and it is kind of slow when I preview a dozen of invoices.

Is there any way to load the image file into the memory for once while still using the "Linked Picture" approach?

Thanks in advance.

I would attempt to convert the image to a BMP file.

hi, dhookom,

I think it works. I am not seeing the process-bar flashing when I open the report any more.

Could me give me more information regarding this? Does this mean that bmp picture takes less time for Access to process?

I'm not sure but I think any other format picture must be converted to BMP in order to display. I could be wrong.
