Linked images changed

Hi,
We have a question regarding relinking files(images) that had their size format modified outside InDesign. I realized that when I do that, the new image inside the box keeps the same width as the one that it's being replaced, while we would prefer to keep the same percentage..I hope this will make sense!

You can go to Object menu/fitting and pick "fit content proportionally". It easier to use the keyboard if you do this often but it's a complicated one. On mac it's option-command-shift-e. On a pc I'd guess that the 2 keys just left of the spacebar equal the command-option on mac.
