Hello all,

I have a long form that I have broken up into several smaller forms and created a hot-spot link to the "mini-forms". I can open my forms and enter information, however, after I have saved it when I go back none of the linked forms have the information, even though I saved them. How do I link the completed "mini-forms" to my main form?

Thanks,

leslie

Assuming you are using R5 or greater there is a better way to do what you want.

Create a table with multiple rows. There is a setting for tables that allows you to have a tabbed interface along the top. Each time you select a tab that row of the table is shown. You can embed additional tables into each row if necessary. Each row becomes a psuedo form for the purposes of navigation.

If you don't like the tab interface you can programatically change rows from an image with a hotspot formula on it.

Actually what I ended up doing was presenting the mini-forms modally, with formulas inherit values from selected documents enabled. Put my "case number" as a hidden field on the mini-form as computed when composed. So both the main form and the 'mini' forms have the case number and the information is retained on the main form.

Thanks though!
