I have a family picture that is a jpg. What I would like to do is have my family be able to click on each individual within the family picture and be sent to another area or have a small pop up window appear with information.

If I went to my website and saw my family picture with 45 people in it, I would like to go and mouse click on my fathers head and body within the picture, and after I click, information about his life will appear.

I have seen it done before on other websites, but I do not know the techy term for this to look up. How do I perform this task? And where can I find more information on this?

I think it has something to do with the image itself and you have to map out the image with some html code.. I think??

Hope this makes sense?

"In that blessed region of Four Dimensions, shall we linger on the threshold of the Fifth, and not enter therein? Ah, no! Image map" it is.
The details are not complicated really, but are a bit too involved to go into here. It basically involves stipulating pixel coordinates within the image to define a shape, either square, circular or irregular, for the clickable link regions. Do a search, and I'm sure you'll find all the info you need.

Regards, Andy.
