Link to Metaframe XP release 2

any one got a link to download the Metaframe XP future release 2 ?

i filled out a form on their website to get info on, all i get is a bunch of ads and lay out
nothing i can try before i move my Metaframe 1.8 for win2k

Do a search in the knowledge base on Document ID CTX096380.

Links posted from Citrix's site rarely work because of the way they attach session IDs to guests.

You can only get Feature Release 2 if you have got Subscription Advantage - in which case Citrix will send it to you on a CD.

If you download the package in the doc. I specified and do not have SA, you will get Service Pack 2 - a raft of hotfixes and patches which should improve MF XP performance in many areas.

Note that it is a full installation of MetaFrame, and will only work with the relevant licenses/product codes. It should not be used for upgrading 1.8 servers unless you have the licenses.

i have Sub adv, they said i can get the cd if i migrated it to XP, that's simply dumb, if i don't test it out, how am i going to migrate ???

Erk! You mean there's a separate S/A for 1.8 and XP? I suppose that makes a kind of sense...

Of course, no-one in their right mind would simply upgrade a crucial part of a server's operating system in a live environment. You can get evaluation versions of MF XP - I get mine from VARs, courses and the recent iForum in Edinburgh

As ever, run it on a test server.

i called them up this morning to complain about it, they said either i get a eval version from my supplier or do a migration online and then they will send me a kit (media kit) and migrate my 1.8 for win2k over

will see when i get it, to see what it really come, floppy or cd lol
