Link to JPG file...with thumbnail in database

Do you know if there is a way to insert a thumbnail in a database, with the capability of linking to the jpg file itself.. we have a database which will eventually have many jpgs..and would like to see the thumbnail..

To show the image. You can use Followhyperlink to open the image with the registered software.
