Hi there i have done a test page for my website which is

However i would like to be "best buddys" with the search engines and i have heard that linking the javascript to a file will help with this. As if you look at the code there is a lot of JS in it before it reaches the actual content of the page. Is this true and if so how can i do it?

Are there any other tips that would make my site more visible? I know the basics like keywords, H1s, title, description etc etc but just wondering if there is anything that i am missing?

Thanks.

Whatever it does for search engines, it'll help both you and your visitors to put the Javascript into seperate files. It helps you, because if you add a new option to the menu you only have one javascript file to change. It helps your visitors because they'll load the Javascript once and have it cached locally as they move around your site.

The problem search engines WILL have with your site is that their spiders won't be able to follow the options in your Javascript menu - so most of your site won't make it into their index. Nor, for that matter, will the 10% of users that switch Javascript off when they surf. Consider having some way of getting around the site with regular <a href=...> tags.
