How do I link from an external website to a website that uses frames? The top frame is a static page and the other bottom frame is a dynamic page. I need the browser to show both pages from one link. Any suggestions appreciated. by Lastwords,

I am not sure of your problem, why don't you just link to the top page and let it bring in the frames that it has linked to it?

Roj

Why not just have the link in question open in a new window, much easier and cleaner then anything. Plus it'll look nicer since in the world of programming we have to worry about the "diff. browesers"... I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

There are two frames though being linked to, how can I have one link linking to two frames? by Lastwords,

In actuallity you are only linking to one link. You just set you link to access the main framed page. Then the page will do it's thing. Namely pulling in the framed pages. An example would be if you had a page that was named one and then one had pages two and three in it as frames all you would need to do is link to page one.

No that doesn't work, all if you link to one page then only that page appears without the other frames, even if it's the main framed page. I'm trying to link to two frames, one of those frames is dynamically generated and the other is an index page. It's like when you bookmark a framed site, you only bookmark one of the frames not all of them. by Lastwords,

Question:
What's the URL you would type into your browser to view the page with all it's frames?

Whatever this is, then that's what your link should be :) One by one, the penguins steal my sanity. X-)

ask those guyz with framed site to use some sort of framefixxin script on their pages

here what i(all of us;) have: Thread216-188587

& link directly to the desired page
