Link Tables Using UNC

Hi, at the moment I use the DoCmd.TransferDatabase etc... to link tables to my database frontend when it is opened. Anyway if i had a backend on a LAN web server whilst the front end was on a users PC could i use a UNC path along with the DoCmd.TransferDatabase.... command to link to the backend tables instead of an absolute path? If so can you show me how I would use it? Cheers in advance

You would need to set up a share on the server and give the users rights to the share. Then, instead of using an absolute path, use the share name. For example, the share \\myserver\Prod would be assigned to where your database resides.
