Hello to all,

I am trying to Microsoft Access link tables to an SQL database. My ODBC is ok, there is definately data in the database (when I import data to Access it populates OK) but when I try linking my linked tables appear with every cell having #Deleted in it.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Mitch

Try to add a TimeStamp column in the SQL table, or at least a non ambiguous primary key.

Hope This Helps, PH.

The Data in the SQL database has been restored from another machine, I think this may be the issue that is cuasing trouble. When I view the data in SQL however all primary keys, data types and data appear to be correct.

Have tried creating a new SQL database, restoring data again and defining a new ODBC and same error occurs. Also, other linking to other sql odbc's on the same sql server works

Any suggestions???

For you info,

Found the answer, my primary keys in the SQL table were defined as bigint which Access did not like. Once I reduced these to int data type they linked fine
