I get lots of resumes...how can I link MSWord doc and a contact...ithout hunting through hard drive...?

OOPS> 2005.

btw, do you find later versions of ACT! faster than 2005 on XP?

Attaching word docs is easy, but making them searchable via the ACT! keyword search means the text needs to be extracted and brought into a Note or History item. ResumeGrabber is probaly is good as any for this. DocAdmin from ASDS is another
ACT! 8 and 9 (2006 and 2007) are considerably faster than 7 (2005) on the same hardware. The best speeds are with 7500rpm (or faster) hard drive), 1-2 GB RAM and a Swap File of 2GB min or dbl the amount of RAM (which ever is larger).

I have used ACT! since 1.0 for DOS... ACT! 7.0 (2005), like ACT! 3.0, was a complete re-write in a new technology and it took a version to get it all stable.
