HI
i need to know what langauage the package pegasus is written in
the reason i ask this is the comp i am working for are looking to get an external company to link that with the other main database we have, this is is a pervasive database

ok what would be required to link/create a link between the to
regards

Would that be Pagasus Opera, the accounting system? If it is then I believe the language is Foxpro and the database is also Foxpro. You'll probably have to look at ODBC to link between the two - I'm not sure how exactly you'd do it - one of the tricks that they use in Crystal reports have the report running for, say, pervasive and then use a sub query per pervasive record to get at the foxpro data.

Hope it helps....

BTW if it isn't Pegasus Opera that you're talking about you'd probbaly be as well to try to get in touch with the supplier.

hi thanks for the info
it is Opera , ok i have to look deeper into the ODBC drivers

You might find forum182 and forum184 useful.

One thing you might me able to do is link the two databases through access - I'm not sure how scalable the solution would be but I do know that both db's can be linked through access.
