Certain PRI impelemntations can do a 'central ofice' transfer, but it is all doen with D channel messaging. (There is no such thing as a 'link' or 'flash' on a PRI...all call setup/progress/teardown is done in messaging on the D channel.) Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with it, i've only heard about others doing it.
I've been working on this for a couple of weeks. Running MICS 6.0, PRI and the client wants to do alot of transfers out of building. They can transfer via the transfer soft-key to an outside call and drop off without disconnecting the callers however when they originate the call then try to extend it to another outside number, all parties drop. I installed on Monday a 4 line rotary with Centrex (User/Conference/Transfer) to use the link feature and now they can make the called via the CO. Next problem that has developed however if your trying to "Link" two calls that are cellular they drop. Hope this helps.
You can get PRI for Centrex (that's how they trunk between Centrex and adjunct equipment), but getting the CO transfer to work will be difficult... anything out of the ordinary (like PRI) on a Centrex is very difficult unless you are a VERY LARGE Centrex customer. Good luck!
Looks like my thoughts were correct, the only way I'm going to be able to use the link feature is to use analog trunks not PRI. Thanks for the help if anyones knows of another way please post.
