Link needed to save PDF to user computer

Is there a way to make a link that will prompt the user where they would like to Download a PDF file to?

I am using <a href="news.pdf"> as my link. This will open the pdf in the browser. I would like the user to Save it to their computer instead of just opening it. I know I can tell them to Right Click on the link, and "Save As", but some seem to forget.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know of a way to do this, other than putting the file in a .zip file and linking to the .zip file.

Thanks Tiffany, but I need to keep it as a PDF, as some users will not know how to unzip it.

I will still keep looking to see if there is anyway to do this.
