link issues on custom screens

1. I added the brand link to Asset and Batches screen (Model.Brand) through ACDBA
but when I started AC client and opened up Asset and Batches screen, with list and detail view, the link appears grayed out. While i can view the details of each asset model's brand when i scroll through on the list.
while the brand link on the model screen is not grayed out.
I have not specified any user rights or access restrictions.

Maybe this is the solution:

if you could change the Brand, you would not change an information of the Asset but of the linked model.

But for changes regarding Models you should consult a screen for amModel not for amAsset or amPortfolio
