I get the message
'BKAR_INV_CUSA2[ 1]' is not a valid name when trying to ink or import. And while I can export from the vendors product, the data in a real nightmare. I'm using PSQL2K under the vendor, DBA software (aka DBAMFG).
We are attemping to export all data for final integration to Oracle ERP. This data is historical in nature, originally noted as 'not needed' .... funny now, not.

I'd hoped to LINK and do a simple ETL. How does one get around the funky names allowed in PSQL? Where would an ALIAS be located.

Short answer, the problem is not PSQL but Access. Access
is the one that can't handle the names in the PSQL database. If you are trying to migrate the data, you might look at writing a program to read and write (or have one written). You could also look at the Pervasive Integration products.
