Hi,

I have a new project that involved integration with LiveLink.

I need to browse for files present in LiveLink from an external application (written in Livelink) and store some form of link to the select files.

I know that is possible to use the LiveLink webservice inorder to browse through the files. However is it possible to create a link to a file (in LiveLink) so that it can be accessed remotely from the application without the need to download the file every time the user needs to view the file

Regards

Simon

Every file in Livelink can be referenced directly so you can reference them directly.

If you are looking to cache the file locally rather than from LL directly each time, that is possible, but bear in mind that you would need to check each time to see if a new version has been added to Livelink, so its usually best to load from Livelink each time as Livelink and the webserver will provide caching for you anyway if configured.
