Link chart to another chart? 1

Can anyone suggest a solution to a problem my boss has just landed on me!

We have some system availability charts - which are represented as bar charts.

What we would like to do is to provide a facility for someone to click on ONE of the bars, and then cause the detailed chart for that particular entry to be displayed (ie similar to making the individual column act as a hypertext link to a more detailed graph.)

Can anyone suggest whether this is possible or not

What application are you using?

I think I can come up with a kludge for you, which whilst not pretty will give you (your boss) what you need.

At the moment I don't have a chart to use - just if you could show me an example of how this could be done for any chart I can then implement it for the chart we require.

akn846 : I have sent you a spreadsheet with a link on one of the bars that takes you to the detail of that bar. As I said, its not pretty, but it works.

Let me know if it meets your needs, or if you need something more.
