Hi all

How can I link ACCESS to EXCEL? In such a way that I may get automatically the data in Excel to Access. I'm doing the manual method by copying the data and putting it to Access because there's another process in which I need to do it in Excel before putting it in Access. Is there an easy way I can do it automatic?

Hope you can all help me.

Thanks,

Kram_327

You can link the excel spreadsheet in Access under the File Menu. Select link external data and then just link the spreadsheet.

Hi,

The above will DISPLAY the Excel spreadsheet within the MS Access development area.
It will not 'incorporate' the info. that you want into the tables where you want the data.

It simply stops the need to open up Excel after you have opened your database - because you can see it within MS Access.

After you have linked the table (which will always be up-to-date within Access) you should then create a query to update your Access tables where required.
