Hi Guys
What is the best way to link 3 NS700 system (different locations) so each only need to dial extn (and would the BLF keys work too)for either site and able to transfer calls to each other but still show to original caller ID.

All have Sip Trunks, I was thinking maybe an IP gateway but I cant find any info on how to do this.

I may be barking up the wrong tree so hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

The best way is Onelook network, you need one NS1000 as master, three NS700 , four DSP and four Onelook licenses.
All is as one PBX.
At NS series BLF works only on DT/NT phones, not on HDV.

There are no stupid questions, there are only stupid answers!

You can just link the 3 systems. You will have to have each system extension numbers different lead number on each of them. i.e
System 1 1xx, system 2 2xx and system 3 3xx

For blf to work you will need extra license

hi guys
thanks for the replies.

onelook is out of the question because of the expense.

All 3 systems have a combination of DT and NT handsets site A has 5 handsets, Site B has 4 handsets (soon to be 6) and Site C has 8 handsets, this was a merger between 2 companies, their contracts have at least 4 years left to run so early settlement and replacement of system is out of the question too, my first thought was to replace site A and B and make them remote phones of site C but the customer don't want to pay for a system he wont be using at site A and B and also likes the idea of them still working if one of the other sites stops working.

This is where my thoughts turned to IP Gateways at each site and a routing table setup for each but the last time I did anything of this nature was with tie lines on the DBS (ahhhh memories lol ) in fact I am sure I have been to another site that had this setup using IP Gateways but between 2 systems and it worked OK but I never took much notice of it then.

Not very hard to setup the 3 NS700's over gateways and doesn't cost that much. You need SIP Trunk licenses and must have a VPN between the sites. This is the way to go. We have NS700's and TDE's with gateway and once installed it is pretty solid as long as VPN stays up.
