I have the following situation:
There was a domain called freshmeadows.com and now there is a domain called freshmeadow.com (NO (S)). The Freshmeadows.com no longer exists and I would like to remove it from showing in the list of domains. I have tried using NTDSUTIL with the metadata cleanup and repadmin /removelingerobjects but since nothing can connect it wont work.
Any ideas?

Look in your DNS records it most likely resides there.

Make sure there is no existing Trust in place between the domains.

Yep - I'm inclined to think there is a trust still configured somewhere as well. DNS records wouldn't cause it to "show up" anywhere other than maybe an additional forward lookup zone.

But if it's in the domain list when logging in, that's a trust issue, I (and Titleist) would say.

Stop by the new Tek-Tips group at LinkedIn. Come say hi, look for a job, have some fun.
