My officejet 7110 all in one is maybe two years old. Has worked great through everything i've thrown at it. Lately however, 50% of the pictures that I print on it have a horrible look to them. It looks like there are a dozen or more horizontal lines running through them. It doesn't appear to be drag lines, more of a color shift or something, it's hard to explain. I have some scanned images of the printed photos i'll post if I can figure out how to.
Has anyone seen anything similar to what i'm describing, or could think of why it could be doing it? I've tried new black and color cartridges twice, cleaned printheads multiple timmes, aligned printheads multiple times, color calibrated, etc.
Sometimes I can get it to print a picture and it looks great. Text, black and color, always looks fine with no noticeable lines. Paper stock is flat.
The only thing I can possibly think of is the printheads themselfs need to be replaced, but it would almost be cheaper for me to buy a new printer vs replacing all the printheads.
