Hello,
I checked a MICS with 5.0 software this weekend with a problem with the lines not releasing in a timely manner. NAM voicemail. System has 12 lines. Checked them and none of them were set to Supervised. I changed them to supervised and rebooted the system. After the reboot lines one thru four would give the "not in service" message in the display. Lines 5 thru 12 would work fine.I swapped the line cards in the KSU and same result, so I know the card isn't bad. Why would the first four lines lockup like this? I tried another reboot and no change.
Dmac,

Check the module status in maintenance try disabling and then reenabling. Don't reboot at this stage. This may also be a Rls 5 problem (which I'm not aware of).

cheers
PhM

Arr,
I tried that and I couldn't find the section where you disable and reenable. It is where you show module status correct. I think I just overlooked where it is. It is module 2 Cards on KSU correct?
Dmac,

Go to
--Maintenance
----Module Status
Select the appropriate card/module,
press the "STATE" soft key,
press the "DISABLE" soft key,
answer "YES" to "Disable at once?",
wait while display shows "Updating state..",
then press the "ENABLE" soft key.

Arr,cowenby,
Got back to this site today. I went in and disabled the card and reenabled. Went back and wired the lines back into the switch and all is good now. Thanks for the help.
Dmac,

Usualy the lines come back in a minute or so however doing a line copy with that release software you will indeed need to do the above.
