Hope someone can help here. I have a client with a Partner ACS and they have a few extensions that keep ringing after the call is answered.

one ring ?

partial ring ?

continios ring like a call was never answred ?

on the processor or one modules ?

if modules what modules ?

have you tried swapping phones ?

Does it happen on only one line, some lines, which lines?
Only on one module, some modules, which modules?
Keep ringing after the call is answered indicates it rings forever, correct assumption?

If some phones, swap phones that do not do this, and report.
If some lines, swap lines that do not do this and report.
If some modules, switch modules and report.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

Have you tried removing power from the system...then turning it back on?

If you have already tried the reboot, you could try unassigning the lines, then reassigning them, and ringing assignments from the effected exts.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

power down, remove cord from backplane,
pull out each card and processor one at a time and replace when done, put cord back and power up!

I was told by a great teacher once, that power (elect) can stay enigized in some of the strangest places..

Also make sure that none of the ext's are in some sort of group!

I never got a chance to go to the site so I had the customer unplug the extension (3 of them) from the card. I told him to plug them back in later since no one was using them. It seems to have solved the problem, I will see if it happens again. Thanks fo the info, I will use some of the suggestions if it happens again.

Thanks
