Lines per page for printer

Hi,

I am trying to set the lines per page on an epson dfx8000 printer before I send the print job. For example

ESC 0 = Select 8 lines per inch.

How do I send this to the printer in a script?

Is there a better way to acheive this? The printer is physically connected to a remote terminal server serially.
