Lines moved leave a mark till refreshed 1

Hi im new here and registered because i really dont know who to ask. im facing some problems with illustrator after changing to a new pc. Example of what happens:

i draw something with normal lines and set it thicker(10pt) then the normal default thickness(1pt). i move and copy it. The copied line turns out in the default thickness (1pt). zooming or refreshing somehow corrects this problem but its a hassle to keep zooming in n out to see whats its supposed to look like.

Even when i move the line it leaves behind its image like i never moved it. Bits and pieces are left behind until i refresh the page by zooming in or out.

Really appreciate any help i can get. Thanks.

Have you tried downloading the latest graphic drivers and monitor drivers to ensure you are using the latest ones?

After that, I'd try seeing if changing your display settings fixes that (just in case something is not quite correct!)

That happened to me a lot in the past, I always just restarted illustrator and it seemed to work fine after that.

Illustrator has got some serious glitches.

do you keep pressing Alt when you draw something?
