Lines in use?

Is there anyway to tell what lines are in use at a given time? We are running into a situation where people calling our 1-800 number(s) are getting a busy signal and the group that the calls usually ring to is not recieving enough calls to fill up all the channels on the T1. The outgoing long distance also uses the T1, so I guess that there could be a ton of people calling long distance at the same time, but I don't know that I believe that.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Pete

Yes, you can.

Is your operator console a Direct Line Console. or a Queued Call Console? If it is a Direct like comsole, and you do not mind erasing all of the programmed features on the buttons, you can view the status for up to 18 lines/channels. If you need to view status for more than that, and your console has a DSS (or 2) you can program a page on the DSS for 800's and view the status of the trunks from there.
