Is there somewhere on a Mitel 3300 to find out the average lines in use are for a period of time? We have a 15 line PRI, and I want to know if we have more lines than we need, or if we need to think about expanding our lines...

Software version is 7.2

Thanks.

The system has a built in traffic report that can be programmed to output hourly reports

You need something to collect the data actively though as the system will only store the most recent 10 reports

Thanks! I will look into that. Are there some docs that you can point me to?

Thanks!

Just use the embedded help files for traffic reporting

Thanks, something figured out. I just want to make sure I am understanding this properly. I set it to collect data for an hour at a time. I am seeing data like this:

Outgoing Trk Trunk Group Usage Maximum
Group Number Label Peg (Erlangs) Busy Peg In Use/Avl.

1 PRI 39 0.91 0 4/ 15

----- -------- ----
39 0.91 0

The only data I really care about for at this time, is the max number of lines in use in any given period. In this case, I take this to mean that during the hour that this was taken (from 2:00PM-3:00PM), that a max of 4 lines were ever in use at 1 time. Is that correct?

Thanks for your help with this.

Q

Correct, 4 of 15 trunks in use max during that hour

Wow, that seems really low...max I've seen in the past few days is 5.....I think we have too many lines :)
