I like to create a report (rptParent) with grid lines to separate their components (from sub reports), like the following format:
subRptA-ID| subRptB-ID| subRptC-ID| subRptD_ID| subRptE-ID
-----------------------------------------------------------
subRptA-DI| subRptB-DI| subRptC-DI| subRptD_DI| subRptE-DI
-----------------------------------------------------------
The problem i have is when i put the lines inside the subreports (say subRptC), if it returns zero record, the lines won't show up in the parent report (will be blank in the middle). How to avoid this issue? Should i draw lines on rptParent?
There are two tables related to this report: tblParent and tblComponent with one-many relationship.
Any suggestion and comments are welcome.
Thanks in advance
Zhong
