A friend has asked me to help him with an Excel problem. I don't have Excel so I need one of you experts out there. Here is his question. Hope it's easy !

If I can explain myself properly, I am trying to put lined columns from in a box immediately under the column headings. The 'best' that I can get (no bloody use at all) is the area that I want with lines and columns BLANK! and the rest (yes, everything else) showing the standard Excel grid.

Urgent please

Absolutely no idea what you are trying to achieve. Can you rephrase the question?

Select the cells you want "lined", hit Format-Cells, choose the borders tab and go to town.

They are called BORDERS. techsupportgirl@home.com

Hey Dreamboat. Didn't realise Kwunder was after borders. Simple! :-I

Hasit,
I've requested more info off my friend

Dreamboat,
I've also mailed your solution.

I'll post back when I get a reply

Thanks both
