i created a series of buttons in flash with a border line thickness of 1. when i resize the movie, they look sloppy because some of the lines appear thicker than the others. why does this happen? i tried gouping the graphic in the "up" position beacuse it was "broken" but that failed.

i have downloaded movies created by experts and their lines stay the same exact width and looks great. does anyone know how to fix my problem?

You can always add the fscommand allowscale and set it to false... then you don't have to worry about someone resizing your movie.

Or try setting your lines as hairline instead of a value.

actually, the person that i am creating this movie for wants the movie to be full screen so it has to blow up a little.

hairline for the buttons is barely visible
i need atleast 1 point width. with thse conditions, i would like the line widths to be consistent.

I don't think there is much you can do about it... that's the thing about scaling something - you can't scale the fill and not the stroke.

thats fine...i just wanted to make sure i'm not missing something.

Let me understand well:
You make a movie and the lines look ok...but when you resize it, everything blows up?...maybe you can post a link to the files or you can e-mail them to me: dragos.bocai@rdsct.ro Regards,

Like frozen peas said, nothing you can do about it(unless dave or ewan have some crazy action script to keep it at one one pixel, and they probably do)..If you have to go full screen, leave your movie set at the pixel dimensions that it is, don't scale it to fit the window..Center it in a table with some kind of graphic behind it..When it goes full screen the movie will center in the window, looks great that way and you don't loose the quality of your work..
