I've been asked to log all calls made from a user's phone. I've been reading through the forums and I did see how to get a snapshot of a TN or DN using TRAC 0 xxxx in LD 80. However when I try to do a continuous trace using ENTC c u xxxx I get the error message TRA305 which means:
TRA0305
The Multi-User Login feature is not active.
Action: Be sure the package is enabled, and MULTI_USER = YES in LD
17.

How do I "activate" the Multi-User Login feature? How would I enable the package if it is not enabled? Does it require a reboot?

Thanks for the help,

IT/ATM/AV/PBX Technician
Jesse

In load 17:

REQ chg
TYPE ovly
<- overlay
SID <- enter until MULTI_USER
BKGD
PBXH
TODR
DROL
MULTI_USER on
<- enable, turn 'on'

Change doesn't require ini or sysload.

With multi user on you can now use the following features (x represents the TTY):

FORC x <- force off another terminal, useful such as when you forgot to log out a tty in switchroom and now need it at your desk.

MON x <- you can monitor a TTY, useful to verify it is not in use before you force them off, or if you want to check what is going on.
Note: A message will be displayed to the TTY you are monitoring.

SEND x <- Send messgage to TTY, i.e. "Do you need this load, answer or you'll get kicked out"

SEND ALL <- Sends message to all TTYs, i.e. "System will be initialized in one minute"

Where do you enter these commands? I am talking about "send" "forc" and the like. Do you do it from ld 17 or ld 80 or where?

These commands are done from the loader prompt, '>', before entering any of the loads.

Doesn't work for me in my 81c. I type

>send all xxxxx

and then at the 5th digit of what I am typing I get an ovl error message.

any suggestions?

BTW, you should hit enter after 'send all' and then type your message at the prompt, 'SEND MSG:'
