Are Line side 500 set port features the same as analog 500 set ports? Are they activated in the same manner, by feature access codes, for example, transfers, MWI(Leave word calling) and CPID?

Any info would help as we have heard that Line side port features work in the same fashion as other T1 (digital) features, not like analog 500 sets. Yet, Line ports emulate or use 500 set digital programming, and can be connected to a channel bank where they are hooked up to 550 set POTS phones(in that case do they have feature access code availability, same as regular analog line card phones?)

Mitel does not support a "Line-Side" T1 feature, if that's what you're talking about. Of course you can do it, but it would require provisioning the PBX with an E&M T1 wired to a channel bank equipped with 2-wire FXS/FXO cards that would in turn need to be wired to a corresponding number of analog ports (i.e., "500" ports as you call them). As a point of interest, I do know that "TELCO" brand FXO/FXS channel bank cards can be driven directly off of a Mitel ONS line card (27v loop voltage) which yields 16 ports per card on the SX2000 and 12 ports per card on the SX200. You could also use an ASU or universal ASU off of the Mitel 3300. In either of these configurations the available feature set would be exactly the same as it is for your standard ONS ("500-type) lines.

One additional note to my above post. Message Waiting Indication (if required) would be limited to stutter dial tone. (dial tone interrupted with 2 beeps when initially going off-hook)
i.e., D-A-I-L-T-O-N-E...BEEP-BEEP.. D-I-A-L-T-O-N-E.

So Mitel switches, 200, 2000, 3300 etc. all do not support digital T1 ports configured as "line side", which is usually and analog port? This can only be set up with E&M T1 card, which is an analog T1?
