What is the easiest way to have incoming CO lines ring through paging speakers at night? I have a 100 W Bogen amp, and am trying to figure out how the lines can ring through it when no one is in the reception area. So I guess it would be CO lines through paging when the system is in night service. Is that possible? I am being very lazy in not searching the Avaya web site but am pushed for time and figure someone on here... I could name a few names... has done it many times. Thanks guys.

Many Bogen paging amps have a Night Ringer built in, which can be triggered either by a contact closure OR a 90VAC ringing station.

So you would typically take a single line extension port, wire it to the ringing input, and add it to the Night Service Group.

The amp at this location does not have a night ringer or an alternate contact closure that can be used for line ringing through the speakers. Is there any other way to accomplish this? The amp is a Bogen 100C.

Bogen says they have a night service ringer that connects to the phone system on one side and the RCA connection on the amp on the other; it requires a 90V or contact closure between the phone system and the ringing device. Not to sound incredibly stupid, but is an analog port a 90v source? Or didn't the Magix have a contact closure at one point? I need to know more about electricity.... thanks in advance.

No contact closure on a Magix, BUT, a standard single line telephone port provides the 90VAC ringing voltage that they are speaking of.

so I can plug into a port on an 016 and make that station a night service extension and then we are back to your original answer? That is excellent - thank you.
