Line ringing indicator

I have a phone that the line ringing indicator "little arrow on display screen" on a 3905 stopped working.

any ideas or is this a display issue?

Maybe the shift key is pressed? Or it could be a bad phone. Unplug and plug in and see if fixed. My guess is the shift key
