Has anyone dealt with following on 4.1 MICS with PRI:

I use Line Redirection(F871)to send main number to answering service for physician's office. They have a Call Center on far end with Local Bell Company providing service. Call is coming from my CLEC's PRI & problem is that caller or patient hears silence for 8-10 seconds before call is answered by customer service agent at answering service.

In other words, no ring generated on far end - PRI too fast?

I don't have this problem when redirecting to a company that has PRI Service from another CLEC or PRI from local Bell Company.

Any ideas/suggestions as I work with my CLEC?

First off, it looks like you are using Ringing Service, not Line Re-direction. Sinjce you have the capabilitiy, you should use External Call Forward to the call centre from the main number target line (Line145?). But you may be interested in the thread below, since the call centre you are using could have a software issue that is giving you grief....If the call centres system fits the scenario described in the thread it could be the problem.
If that is the case, the problem is not yours but the far end. Worth investigating

What software are you using and are your calls comming in via PRI? the reason I ask is that there is a known problem with 5.0 running PRI that is connected to a DMS Switch at the CO. If you are running NI2 protocol then you may not receive ring back tone. Your going to need to upgrade.

I am using Line Redirection(Feature 84)& not Night Service(Feature 871) to Forward the Main Line (Line 150) to outside telephone number. Technically I think this is a Trunk to trunk transfer & not an outside call forward.

I have been fighting this problem with a system for the last 6 months. All the testing we did pointed to the answering service. I tested with the local carrier and we found that when we forwarded to a cell phone or home phone or office phone the ring back came immedietly. The problem seems to be with medical answering service switches. There seems to be three or four popular answering service switches and at least two of these are bad about giving ring back tone. The last carrier I tested with was logix and they got the same problem when they called the number direct. On the fourth answering service for this doctors office they found one that would give ring back tone. Hope this helps.

In general, with PRI or DID service, the ringback is provided by the CPE (in this case the answering service equipment), so you're on the right track that it is something with their switch.
