Customer is adding a new division to their company with 2 seperate hunt groups. They need to be able to place calls on hunt group 1 or 2 as needed. Normally with Nortel I assign promary pool to dial code 9 and secondary to dial pool 8 and so on.

Can this be done with Partner or is the dial pool codes going to be 880, 881 and so forth.

If they want to choose a pool do they press I/C then dial the pool code or just press the button assigned to that pool to access the next availble line in that pool?

What have you used as the most efficient method. They have ACS 7 and I am already using distintive ring on these lines.

Thanks

What's the total number of lines for each division? Why don't you just assign the lines to the phones, grouping the buttons in a logical manner, and make the Auto Line Select just go to Intercom, then not to any lines at all when they press 9? That way, they lift the handset, and decide on what line to use for that particular call by pressing the line button.

Otherwise, line pools assigned to extensions take up 1 or 2 buttons. (880 takes 2 buttons, the others take just 1.) So you might put the 1st company's lines in 880, and split the 2nd company's lines into 881 and 882. That way, you get 2 pool buttons for each company.

Yes, you would have to dial the pool codes, 880, 881, or 882 on the Intercom to access the pools. If you dial 9, you will access the line or pool buttons in the order that you assign them. In other words, if the 880 was all in use, dialing 9 would move over to 881 or 882.

6 lines in line pool 1 and for now 3 for line pool 2 but expecting to add more in the future.

so company A has lines 1-6 on buttons one through 6

company B has 7-9 assigned to buttons one two and three

As Tommy suggested

Ive done just that and it works just fine

They will run out of button on their older MLS-12. I think I will take your soloution for the 880 & 881 pool 2 button pool line set up.

Any news on any revisions on the voice mail platform now that we have ACS 8?
