I'm looking for some helping in programming line pool buttons. I have inheritted the service contract of a MICS 2.0.

Most phones are programmed with a line pool button that not only takes a line from poolA, but also dials 9 (Centrex lines) so that the user only has to press the pool button and dial the phone number. The 9 to get dial tone from centrex is automated. I can duplicate this on other phones by doing a system+user copy, but I'd like to know how to program this automated dial 9 from scratch.

Any help would be appreciated.

If the prime line for the set is already the pool, just program an external autodial button with a 9 by using FEATURE * 1 then 9 then RLS or hold.

Also, there are some other methods, so do a button inquiry on a set button that is working to determine exactly what is on the key.

the prime line is set to intercom
button is labeled as line pool, all button inquiry says is "9"

Maybe that button is programmed with feature 64+9. Feature 64 is the line pool code. The 9 is to access the pool for 9. Try that. Hope that helps.

Thanks LKev, but all that gives me is a line in the line pool. It does dial 9 on the centrex system.

I can't remember the 2.0 But on a 3.0 I did it by programing from the buttons portion in User preferences.

i.e

Button 01

F*1

9

Use Pool A

Thanks Steve I'll try programming the buttons in User Preference. I thought has occurred to me that it might just be a speed dial 9 and there is a routing service set up to capture 9 dialed on the intercom and this route is programed to grab a line pool and then add a 9.
