Hi
I want to add one calculated field on a report with the value equal to 1 (call it nOne)
Then, I want to create a running total on that field and insert it in detail band, so each detail lines will be numbered.

Is it possible to do it? If not, is there a workaround ?

I'm using Crystal 9.0

I don't know that you need to create a seperate field to create a Running Total off of. You can just create a Running Total off an exisiting field in your detail section.

You could also go to insert->special field->record number and drag this into your detail section.

If you have groups and you want to reset the numbers on change of group, then use a running total on a recurring field, with the reset on change of group.
