IP office 403 DS
I have a 4 port analogue card (line keys 701 to 704)
I have 8 DS phones(5410)all have line keys 701 to 704 programmed in digital telephony.
Extn 201 and 202 are in the main hunt group. when a call comes in to the main group all the pnones ring. If i remove the line keys from the other 6 phones all is okay. Now on "Real" key systems these line keys will alert but will not ring the phones.
Any ideas to get the ip office to do the same.

this is the way IP Office works
A line apperance key will always ring

An oversight we all hope will be corrected in an upcoming maintenance release. Kind of funny when you think about it, taking the time to build in key system features without checking how key systems are supposed to operate. Ahh the joys that come with that "made in the U.K." sticker ;-)

Check on the User telephony tab about the ringing appereance ,
at bottom right .

I played about with this before i posted this thread makes no difference.

A key System presents calls to keys on a phone. A PABX presents calls to hunt group, currently you are trying to do both!

The IPO was not originaly designed to be a key system, it is being enhanced (if taking a backward step in switch evolution can be called enhancement) to offer these faciluties to meet a market demand (Hey Avaya do sometimes listen after all). I expect that they will be enhanced in V3.1 depending on demand
