We have an 8 line system though 1 phone number. Whenever we get more than two calls in at the same time, the call on line 3 can only be answered on one phone. all the other ones say "line in use" when you press the button.

All our phones are Meridian M7310.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Sounds like you need to explain better.

If you have 8 lines and all should answer then assign 8 lines to the sets.

If a line says its in use then somebody is using it or it is hung by voice mail. If that's the case make sure lines are set to Supervision Disconnect and that the carrier ha done the same.

A couple of things to try is Feature *0 and check that the line #s are assigned correctly to each phone.

You could busy out the first two lines and then dial the number and see where it rings.

If you need to move lines on a set Feature*81 will achieve this.
