Hi

I'm attempting to create a line graph for total number of calls as Y axis and months as X axis, the lines should represent the years. So each (Year) line should show the number of calls received each month.

I've been able to show months but it also shows for all years and is also on the same line.

Calls

30 _ _
10 _
1 _
Jan Feb March April..
(the lines represent the different years)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Javedi

Create a formula {@month}:

monthname(month({table.date}),true) //true for abbreviations

Add this as your first "on change of" field in the advanced chart and click on "Order" and choose "specified order", and then add each month value in order--you should do this for a full year's worth of data so that it will work properly in subsequent runs. Then add {table.date} as your second "on change of" field and click on "order" while it is highlighted and choose print on change of "year". Add count of calls as your summary field.

Thanks lbass

That worked, but the system went live in October and the data it returns starts from then. Is there a way to force the month to start from January? This will allow for a better comparison.

Thanks again

If last year only had data in October through December, then the line would appear for those months only and that makes sense, so I don't quite know what it is you would want to see.

on reflection I agree.

Thanks very much for your help.
