Not sure if this is possible but, I have a report where everything prints on the detail line. The detail section is broken up in 2 sections and the 2nd section will only print if a condition is met. The thing is, when the second section does print and we export it to CSV (our only option for now as it is for our EDI imports) it will add it on to the first line in the actual export rather then print it on the next line. I've tried just about any CSV export option imaginable but I can't make it work. Is there any way to force a line break for the second detail section when exporting it to CSV?
I am using Crystal Reports 2008 attached to a Progress database.

Thanks in advance.

Can you show us what you expect your output to look like?

Sure. The way it shows in crystal is for example:

Details a: "Customer", "Part Number", "PO Number", etc
Details b: "Customer", "Part Number", "Container #" etc

Right now when we export it to csv it will all be on one line like:
"Customer", "Part Number", "PO Number", "Customer", "Part Number", "Container #" etc.

I want it to break for each section thus:
"Customer", "Part Number", "PO Number", etc
"Customer", "Part Number", "Container #" etc

Thanks for your time.

Hi,

IMHO, getting data from a report is just the long, wrong way around!

Why not modify the query that accesses the source data for this report, to get EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED?
